Is this your first time hearing Fit for a King music? Want to know what to expect from a concert? Then check out these essential listening songs.

“Hollow King (Sound of the End)” is a fantastic single from the Creation/Destruction album and it has a different sound compared to the band’s newer work. But it has several qualities that have remained to this day. For example, it uses hardcore stop-start breakdown to push the message. The song has some excellent screaming that is sure to please any metal fan.

“Pissed Off” is a more personal track which talks about the devastation caused by terrorism. It was written after the 2015 Paris attack when terrorist violence claimed the lives of rock concertgoers during a show. It shows how angry and frustrated the band is with a world where this kind of horror and tragedy can happen. And it’s undeniably a heavy piece.

FInally, be sure to check out “Deathgrip”. It’s got excellent instrumentation and lyrics that ask the listener to consider how futile it is to fight against death and how missed opportunities can lead to darkness and despair. Especially when you consider lyrics like “My memories are like a noose around my neck,”  It’s a song that challenges you to live your best life no matter what.
